3D laser scanning works on a 200 m long tanker

The GEOMATIC SIA team conducted extensive and highly complex 3D laser scanning work on a 200 m long tanker.

3D laser scanning is currently widely used in navigation and has several objectives:

  • Inspecting deformations.
  • For design and redesign purposes (if new or replacement equipment is required).
  • For the purposes of ship inspection: to determine the current state of a ship’s equipment.
