A diverse infrastructure is created to high ensure quality living conditions. Much of this consists of engineering utilities: heating networks, sewerage networks, water supply networks, gas pipelines, etc. Unfortunately, not all of these utilities are displayed in adequate visual quality in topographic plans.
However, a ground-penetrating radar makes it possible to determine the location of utilities, and their burial depth for sub-surface utilities, and objects that cannot be detected by other utility detectors (such as plastic, rubber and reinforced-concrete pipelines, and cast iron pressure pipes), surveying of foundations of buildings, and determining of the depth and configuration of other underground objects.
This provides a continuous cross-section of the environment, which can then be further analysed by specialists using special software.
