Regardless of the size of the project – whether it is a fence around a building, a private house, a public building, engineering utilities, or a road – when concluding a construction job, one must prepare as-built documentation and coordinate it with the topographic data maintainer (highly detailed topographic information) or construction board.
As-built measurements for coordination of documentation
Preparation of an as-built measurement plan is necessary in the following situations:
- commissioning of a building/structure.
- commissioning of engineering utilities.
- commissioning of a landscaped area.
Geomatic offers:
- 12 years of experience in coordinating as-built documentation with the Construction Board of the City of Riga, and other maintainers of HDTI (highly detailed topographical information).
- A team of certified geodesists/surveyors and draftspersons who can expeditiously perform measurements and the coordination process.
To commission a site, one must ensure that the following conditions are met:
- As-built measurements need to have been made to prepare the construction documentation for submission to the construction board, or to maintainers of highly detailed topographic information.
- As-built measurements show where buildings/structures are actually located, and where their construction axes and engineering utilities are located according to the design.
- As-built measurements are carried out either during the construction process (in cases of underground engineering utilities) or after the new building has been fully completed.
- If as-built measurements are carried out for engineering utilities (cables, pipelines) that are not accessible from the surface, an open trench for measuring the utilities should be provided.
